The Academic Staff Appeal Committee is responsible for considering and determining appeals from individual members of staff against decisions in relation to their appointment or progression made by the Academic Staff Committee, Research Fellow Sub-Group (of the Academic Staff Committee), Teaching Fellow Sub-Group (of the Academic Staff Committee), Professorial Advisory Committee, or the Professorial Appointing Committee.

Membership 2011/12
A lay member of Council (Chair)
A Dean of Faculty/Head of School (or a former Dean of Faculty/former Head of School) other than that of the appellant
A member of Senate
The Chair of Academic Assembly or a former Chair of Academic Assembly if the current Chair has a conflict of interest
The following Officer routinely attends meetings of the Committee:
