What we spend and how we spend it

The University publishes Financial Statements every year. These contain details of funding, income, expenditure and investment, as well as budgetary and account information and the auditors' report. They are available electronically from: http://www.bath.ac.uk/finance/statements/.

The regulations governing the management and administration of the University's financial resources can be accessed from: http://www.bath.ac.uk/finance/regulations/.

The University is working towards the production of a new Masterplan which will set out a vision for the development of its campus and provide a framework for new building projects over the period 2008-2020. More information about the University's Masterplan is published by the Department of Estates at: http://www.bath.ac.uk/estates/masterplan.

Information about staff costs and some salaries is included in the Financial Statements. University salary scales are available electronically from: http://www.bath.ac.uk/hr/staff/payandreward/salaryscales.

The University maintains a database of over 4,500 approved contractors and suppliers. These include suppliers who have done business with the University in the past and who are currently engaged in business with the University. Because of its size, and the fact that it is subject to continual change, the database is not made publicly available. To find out more about the University's suppliers, please submit a request in writing.

The University advertises a large number of contracts throughout the year. More information about contract opportunities, including contracts currently available for public tender, is published by University of Bath Purchasing Services via: http://www.bath.ac.uk/purchasing-services/suppliers/contracts.html.

Where the value of a procurement/contract is in excess of £100,000, the University is obliged by EU Procurement Directives to publish a contract award notice in the Journal of the European Union (OJEU). These notices can be accessed via the SIMAP website. Further information about University contracts is available on request.
