Public Transport

Bath is a great city for getting around, there are excellent public transport links to and around the city.

Train

The closest train station is Bath Spa station which has frequent services to London, Bristol and South Wales, allowing connections to the rest of the UK.

 On open days there will be student ambassadors posted at the station to direct you to buses and taxis. Visit National Rail Enquiries for timetables, fares and cheap advance tickets.

Bus

There are regular bus services from the train station to campus (and around town). You can plan your journey using Traveline South West.

Frequent services

Bus accessibility

  • Bright Orange Bus services 18 and 418 are usually low-floor trailer buses that can accomodate at least one wheelchair and two unfolded pushchairs. Other types of buses are also used, some of which may not be low-floor.
  • Route 410 is usually operated using a variety of vehicles some of which cannot carry unfolded wheelchairs or pushchairs.
  • All UniConnect U10, U18 and 20A/C buses are operated with low floor buses which can accommodate a wheelchair or two unfolded pushchairs.

Coach

National Express run direct services daily from London Victoria and Heathrow airport to Bath.

Air

Our nearest airport is Bristol International Airport. There are also regular connections by rail or coach from London Heathrow.
