Backswing tips to get you on your way

Here are many backswing tips. I will show them.

1. Collapse left knee

Over-flexing your left knee, like Rory is doing in the above photograph, allows you to free up your hips during the swing.

2. Keep left arm straight but not rigid

Rory has one of the straightest arms at the top of the swing in professional golf, getting somewhere near that will give you a consistent backswing.

3. Turn your body in a barrel

Imagine your body is trying to turn in a barrel when making the backswing, moving your hips on the axis clockwise.

4. Weight remains on balls of feet

If your weight stays in the centre of the balls of your feet on the backswing then this will help the consistency at impact.

5. Keep your grip pressure constant

Throughout your swing, if you’re a right-hander, you should be applying more pressure with your left hand on the grip as this hand guides the ping g25 irons for sale.

Seung-yul Noh wins Zurich Classic

AVONDALE, La. — As Seung-Yul Noh exhaled and tilted his head back in a skyward gaze on the 18th green, fellow South Korean players Y.E. Yang and Charlie Wi charged toward him, spraying him with bottled beer.

Noh smiled, removed his hat, held both arms out and soaked it all in.

The 22-year-old overcame windy conditions and the pressure that goes with attempting to secure a maiden PGA Tour triumph, shooting a 1-under 71 on Sunday to win the Zurich Classic by two shots.

1He also knew he achieved another goal of providing some joy to a nation that has been reeling since a passenger ship capsized April 16, leaving 300 missing or dead.

“Hopefully, they’ll be happy to get the new taylormade speedblade irons,” said Noh, who wore black and yellow ribbons on his white golf hat to honor victims of the ferry accident.

While Noh, the leader through three rounds, never fell out of first, he did make his first three bogeys of the tournament and briefly fell into a tie with Keegan Bradley, the 2011 PGA Championship winner who had the gallery behind him.

But Bradley did himself in with a bogey on the fifth hole and a triple bogey on the sixth.

“I actually played pretty well with TaylorMade Tour Preferred MB Irons 2014,” Bradley said. “Just made one bad swing on 6 and had a bunch of lip-outs.”

Noh remained steady enough- even with wind gusting up to 30 mph — to hold off the remaining challengers.

Get to The Point of Golf Swing

Golf swing is the means by which golfers make decisions (selecting clubs, selecting shots) and execute them (making shots) in the sport of golf. For all golfers, it consists of a pre-stroke — in which golfer choose which club they want and their stance — and the actual stroke. The stroke is a complex motion, and there is still disagreement on what constitutes a good golf swing.

The golf swing has been studied by scientists and mathematicians who have developed various equations to help explain the complexity of the swing. It is generally agreed that a successful and consistent golf swing requires precise timing and mechanics, from the grip and position of one’s fingers, to the position and movement of the feet. At any moment of the swing, whether back swing, down swing, or upswing anything can go wrong that will throw off the whole body and result in a miss hit.

The most important thing for golf swing is that you need to get into the point of it. It does not mean adding more momvements or some other things. If you have ever heard the phrase ‘finding the slot’ or ‘getting into the slot’, you may understand why. This refers to keeping the downswing on plane of some ping g25 irons for sale, so you can bring the clubhead into the back of the ball along the correct path to produce straight, long shots.

Most amateurs mess this up by lunging at the ball with the upper body early in the downswing. This creates an out-to-in swing path, producing weak shots in the classic slice ball flight pattern. Better golfers who end up out-to-in often have the opposite problem – pulling shots as they square the clubface at impact instead of leaving it open.

As a matter of fact, the key to finding the slot and delivering the ping g20 driver australiaon the proper path into the ball is to let the hips start to open as the swing begins moving down, while resisting the urge to move the shoulders and arms along with the hips.

Instead, practice dropping the trailing elbow down toward the trailing hip as you begin the downswing of ping g25 driver. Let the hips move a bit laterally toward the target, then start to open. Momentum will then pull the shoulders and arms forward in what feels almost effortless to you.

Additionally, it is necessary for you to practice at the range and at home as often as you can. Don’t worry if your shots are flying all over the place – or even if you’re sticking the Ping G25 Pink Driver into the ground behind the ball at first. It may happen until you get the new coordination of movements down pat.

Finally, you’ll be putting the clubhead path coming down into that fabled ‘slot’ byholding back your shoulders and arms a bit at the start of the swing. This can result in your shots flying straighter and going farther. It’s worth the frustration of practicing while you ingrain the new swing.

Halloween Golf Playing Is Interesting

As we all know, Halloween is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. It initiates the triduum of Hallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.

Today’s Halloween customs are thought to have been influenced by folk customs and beliefs from the Celtic-speaking countries, some of which have pagan roots, and others which may be rooted in Celtic Christianity. But how about golf?

Today, I would like to talk about Halloween golf. Most people would put down their golf clubs and go to Halloween parties. This is common, but not so sensible. Actually, you can also go to play golf even on Halloween. An easy golf-related Halloween costume, this costume only requires a mask and some matching clothes.

With your head as the ball, you’ll need to find a golf ball mask, one that goes completely over your head, or get creative with some white paint. The finishing touch is the tee, or the rest of your body. For this you’ll need to wear pants and a turtleneck that are the same color so you will resemble a tee. With tees available in just about any color under the sun you can wear just about anything and don’t have to worry if your outfit is not a more traditional tee color like white or tan.

Bring back the days of Francis Ouimet and Old Tom Morris with an old time golfer costume. This one is available all over the place and most come complete with an argyle sweater vest, tie, plaid knickers, socks and a beret or Kangol hat. The late Payne Stewart put a modern spin on this TaylorMade R11S Driver, most times leaving out the sweater and tie but always rocking some sweet knickers and matching socks.

In addition, it’s easy to dress like the pros nowadays as so many players who play TaylorMade Tour Preferred MB 2014 are tied to specific apparel brands and wear signature outfits. This costume has taken on a few alternate looks over the last few years after some of Tiger Woods off the course travails, but he is still one of the most popular and recognizable players in the world.

However, for young people, something new and fresh is needed. Young people like to pursue something different. Well, then break out the orange. A Puma flat hat, orange pants and orange shirt and all of a sudden you’re Rickie Fowler, a big hit with the younger crowd on tour. A cigarette, diet coke, blonde wig and crazy-patterned pants and you’re John Daly.

If you are tired of dressing yourselves, you can think about your TaylorMade R11S Fairway Wood. They can also be dressed different from others. Or you can get your clubs the same color with your clothes. Things would be surely different if you make some changes!

Mizuno JPX 825 Driver is in Stacy Lewis’ bag

Mizuno staff player Stacy Lewis has won the Women’s British Open after recording consecutive birdies on the final two holes at St Andrews. The 28-year-old American found herself three shots behind Choi with five holes to play but aided by a mini collpase from the South Korean, Lewis capitalised superbly with birdies at the Home of Golf’s iconic 17th and 18th holes.

Lewis split the middle of the fairway at 17 before sending her Mizuno JPX 825 Pro irons down the pin to within three-feet for birdie. It enabled her to take a two shot lead over Choi Na-Yeon and compatriot Paula Creamer over the Sentosa course and hang on for victory – her sixth career win.

Lewis, who started the final day a shot behind 54-hole leader Morgan Pressel, carded a closing level-par 72 to finish two shots clear of Na Yeon Choi and Hee Young Park on 8-under and record the second major title of her career. Incredibly, Lewis also snapped a streak of 10 consecutive majors won by Asian-born players – a period which dates back to when she won her first major at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco.

Lewis, the Ladies World No.2, relied on Mizuno JPX 825 Driver, JPX-825 Hybrid, JPX-825 Pro irons and MP-T11 wedges, as well as taylormade r1 driver and putter and Titleist Pro V1x ball. After taping home to move into a tie for the lead, Lewis then smashed a drive down 18 before putting her ball from 30 yards away on the fairway to some 30-feet.

“That was probably the best shot I ever hit,” Lewis said of her near-albatross from 200 yards out. “This golf course is so hard and then you had the pressure but that shot helped to ease it. Lewis, who spent most of her teenage years in a back brace to correct a curve in her spine, carded one-under-par 71 on a cloudy day for an aggregate score of 15-under 273.

Golf Balls Are as the Same Important as Golf Clubs

When we are talking about golf, we usually talk about the golf stars, golf clubs, golf skills, golf tips and so on. But we seldom talk about the golf balls. Actually, golf balls are also very esential for your golf playing. And you should learn to choose the best golf balls for your golf playing. Firstly, you need to learn to choose your golf balls very carefully!

Online shopping can help you see how many different options are available, as well as to familiarize yourself with the types of claims made on golf ball packaging. As you browse, focus on these claims and the various ways in which each manufacturer rates each ball style so that you can better understand the factors that will go into your purchase decision.

Then you need to do comparation between different balls. Compare golf balls in the one-piece, two-piece, three-piece and four-piece categories. These references to “pieces” indicate the number of different layers that comprise the ball design. You can consider your skill level and choose your category and cheap golf clubs accordingly. The most suitable ones are the best ones!

Check the spin ratings of the balls you are considering. Lower-spin balls don’t stay airborne very long, but tend to roll farther on the ground. Higher-spin balls exhibit the reverse–longer air time, shorter rolling distance. It’s generally recommended that you use the highest-spin ball you think you can handle, though higher-spin balls tend to be harder to hit by a ping k15 driver because they can slice more severely when you fail to land a solid shot.

Firmer balls tend to be more resilient and capable of greater distance on drives and long shots, but can be harder to control on the green and when making tricky shots. Softer balls are just the opposite, although a skilled golfer with a strong swing can usually drive a soft ball just as far, if not farther, than an average player using a firm ball.

Consider all of the factors described above to create a list of specific golf ball designs that you think might be right for you. Once you’ve identified a few types, look them up online to see if you can find reviews written by golfers who have used ping g20 irons. These reviews often give insight into how well the balls live up to their marketing claims.

In addition, please note that some local pro staff may be able to show you ball types you’ve never seen before, and they tend to be knowledgeable. You can ask them for some suggestions! They would give you some advices via your conditions including your swing and the strengths and weaknesses.

Finally, you can practice with some small numbers of different types of balls. This is important because, when it comes down to it, the only way to verify that a ball is right for you is to play with it.

Why many players put 913 D2 driver into the bag?

What better platform could Titleist have had to unveil its latest 913 drivers Rory McIlroy using it to win his second major title?

The discount 913 D2 driver features a 460cc full-pear shaped head designed for maximum forgiveness and a slight draw bias. “Golfers can now choose their 913 model based on size or shape preference, amount of forgiveness or workability, and amount of draw bias,” says Dan Stone, Titleist’s vice-president of research and development. “They can then dial-in their launch and spin settings precisely using the SureFit Tour hosel.”

Cosmetically, red and silver go-faster stripes enhance the sole and there’s an arrow-style plate which houses a screw weight which engineers have introduced to keep the centre of gravity low and reduce spin. The new drivers should produce similar trajectories to the 910 drivers but, judging by a fitting clinic staged for journalists from around Europe, deliver more forgiveness and workability through the air.

The new insert has increased the maximum ball speed area up to 11 percent from Titleist’s previous 910 drivers. That, Titleist says, results in upwards of 2 mph of additional ball speed in certain hit locations, which translates to up to 4-6 additional yards.

Adds Stone: “The 913 D2 and Titleist 913 D3 Driver offer the highest performance of any adjustable drivers on the market, particularly when it comes to speed and forgiveness. “Every serious golfer from Tour players to amateurs of all skill levels will experience more distance potential and better driving performance with 913.”

Including McIlroy, 26 players put a 913 driver into the bag for the PGA Championship.

Red figures elude Wie in Swinging Skirts start

Michelle Wie shouldn’t have been surprised a tough test awaited her return to the Bay Area.

She took her share of them while at Stanford.

Lake Merced Golf Club proved a difficult examination for Wie and most everyone else teeing it up Thursday in the suspended first round of the Swinging Skirts Classic in San Francisco.

Karine Icher had the most right answers for the hard questions the course was asking. Icher opened with a 6-under-par 66, good for the lead when darkness halted the round. Lydia Ko, playing on her 17th birthday, shot 68 with discount titleist 714 cb irons, leaving her among five players tied for second.

Wie, making her first start after winning the Lotte Championship last weekend in Hawaii, opened with a 72, good for a tie for 24th. She got off to a rough start, making double bogey after an errant opening tee shot but battled back. She ended her round with a birdie.

“It’s a tough golf course,” Wie said. “I’ll take an even-par round. It’s a good position for the first round. I just need to make some more birdies tomorrow morning.”

Learn to Change when Practicing on Short Games

We always say that short games can improve your golf playing effectively after practices. But this is not all! On one hand, you need to do lots of practices till you are sick of them, this is not an easy thing for everyone. You need to insist on practicing time after time. On the hand, only practices on the layer of the same does not really help.

Actually, I mean you should learn to change or alter something when practising short games. With the conditions playing tough, you can rely on some short-game mastery to close out the tournament and earn the victory. Key up-and-downs, chipping in and making putts all helped put some golfer pros over the top.

If you want to be one of those golfers, you really need to work hard. Everyone wants to lower your scores the short game is the place to start. Being able to hit it close to the hole after missing the green using a TaylorMade R1 Driver can save valuable pars and reduce wasting shots around the green.

However, most golfers don’t practice their short game at all, or when they do they don’t practice it very effectively. Learn to change something on your TaylorMade SpeedBlade Irons can help you gain the most from your short-game practice. It means you did not waste any piece of the short game practice. You need to benefit from the practice on short game in the largest degree.

First of all, you need to keep in hear that short game is all about feel. Practice developing feel by moving around and trying different shots in a short-game practice area. Avoid the temptation to unload a pile of golf balls from one location to one target.

If you’re limited to a confined location, try the ladder drill in the short game area. The goal is to land several balls in a defined area by making each shot land just past the previous. If you mess up, start over.

Secondly, you need to take care about the golf balls. Never be tired of up and down game during practice. Take nine golf balls and spread them around the practice green in various locations. The goal is to get each ball in the hole in two strokes or less. But instead of hitting all the balls on the green and then making the putts and TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Woods, play each ball out one at a time to simulate a real round of golf. Challenge yourself by keeping score and try to break your personal record.

Finally, try your best to throw yourself into a competition once you have the chance. Drag your golf buddy out to the short-game area and challenge them to the “up and down” game or the ladder drill. Anytime you can incorporate competition in your practice you will benefit greatly on the course.

A Gap Wedge Sould Be Included in Your Golf Bag

As we all know, a gap wedge, also known as an approach wedge, is a wedge used to hit a shot with higher and shorter trajectory than a pitching wedge and lower and longer trajectory than a sand wedge in the sport of golf. The name derives from the club’s design to fill the “gap” between sand and pitching wedges.

Gap wedges are loosely defined, but typically have the loft between that of a pitching wedge and sand wedge, between 50 and 54 degrees. At the extremes there is redundancy with either the pitching wedge or the sand wedge, however some players will “fine-tune” the lofts of these other titleist sm5 wedges to their play style, leading to alternate loft choices for a gap wedge. Most players look for a separation of 4 degrees between clubs, and so with the standard pitching and sand wedge lofts, the complimentary gap wedge would be 52 degree.

Golfers use their gap wedge when they need slightly more height on their ball than they would get with a pitching wedge and slightly more distance than they would get with a sand wedge. A ping g25 driver is suitable to use when your ball is in longer grass, or rough, and when it is on shorter grass, or fairway.

You can lower your score on the golf course if you play with your wedges in full trust. Skilled golfers often keep up to four different wedges in their bag for play inside 100 yards and around the green. Each wedge has a different loft to make it useful in specific situations.

Actually, the gap wedge’s loft depends on the brand and model of the club. Most gap wedges have a loft of between 50 and 52 degrees. Among wedges, this club has a low to moderate degree of loft and is sometimes call an approach wedge.

Among these wedges, pitching wedge is thought to be the most effective wedge to hit the ball far away, Next in loft and decreasing in distance are the gap wedge, sand wedge and lob wedge. A pitching wedge has a loft of between 45 and 48 degrees, sand wedges range from 54 to 56 degrees and lob wedges have lofts between 60 and 64 degrees, in most cases. You can find some ping g25 irons for sale to get the gap wedge and piteching wedge!

Gap wedges are often included in beginner, intermediate and women’s sets of clubs. The wedge literally fills the distance gap between the pitching wedge and sand wedge. Golfers often find that the pitching wedge is too long for a particular shot, but the sand wedge will not send the ball far enough.

However, some golfers choose not to carry a gap wedge because golf rules allow only 14 clubs in a player’s bag. But few people would do that! Gap wedge is still used widely for golfers during a complete golf competition.
